Established in March 2003 and registered in the Beilun Economic and Technological Development Zone of Ningbo, Zhejiang Yisheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Hengyi Group and Rongsheng Group. It stands as one of China’s earliest large-scale Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) projects invested in and developed by private enterprises. Spanning 1,030 mu (approximately 68.7 hectares), the company is recognized as a national-level high-tech enterprise and holds numerous patents related to PTA oxidation, tail-gas treatment, and wastewater treatment. Its core business focuses on the production of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Isophthalic Acid (IPA), with a total designed annual capacity of 2 million tons. Serving as the management hub for the Yisheng industrial cluster, the company oversees various petrochemical production entities—including those in Hainan, Dalian, and Ningbo—managing assets exceeding 45 billion RMB and generating annual revenues surpassing 100 billion RMB.
As a key supplier of upstream raw materials for the polyester industry chain, Zhejiang Yisheng produces PTA, which serves as a fundamental feedstock for manufacturing PET polyester chips, polyester filament, films, and engineering plastics. The company’s products are supplied to polyester manufacturers across China and are also exported extensively to international markets. With deep-rooted expertise in safety management, environmental protection, and process optimization, the company continuously implements energy-saving technical upgrades for its legacy facilities. It has also integrated environmental infrastructure—such as reclaimed water reuse systems and Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO) for waste-gas treatment—to facilitate resource recycling. By establishing a robust technical R&D platform, the company consistently enhances product purity while reducing unit consumption. Leveraging the logistical advantages of the Port of Ningbo, it has built a stable network for raw material procurement and finished-product distribution, cementing Yisheng’s position as a global leader in the PTA industry.
