Hainan Yisheng Petrochemical Selected for National-Level "Green Factory" List

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently announced the 2024 national-level "Green Manufacturing" list. Hainan Yisheng Petrochemical has been designated a "Green Factory," a recognition earned through its outstanding environmental protection practices and technological innovation.

The "Green Factory" selection process, spearheaded by the MIIT, aims to drive the green transformation of the industrial sector by fostering advanced manufacturing enterprises that excel in intensive land use, clean production, waste resource recovery, and low-carbon energy consumption. Inclusion on this list—which requires a rigorous process of provincial-level recommendation, expert review, and public disclosure—serves as a national-level benchmark for green development within the manufacturing industry.

As a leading enterprise in Hainan’s petrochemical sector, Hainan Yisheng Petrochemical has consistently prioritized environmental protection and sustainable development, actively implementing green principles through various environmental initiatives and technical upgrades. The company has retrofitted its coal-fired boilers to achieve ultra-low emissions and installed new gas-fired boilers to support production capacity expansion. Furthermore, it employs advanced wastewater treatment processes to ensure that all effluent meets discharge standards. In terms of resource recycling, the company has commissioned a 50,000-ton-per-year food-grade recycled PET (RPET) production line, with plans for further capacity expansion. Through these efforts, the company has not only achieved highly efficient resource utilization but has also made significant contributions to reducing plastic pollution and advancing a circular economy.

Looking ahead, the company remains committed to its green development philosophy. It will continue to elevate its environmental standards, further contributing to ecological conservation and sustainable development in Hainan.
